The Mount
Edith and Teddy Wharton built The Mount on 113 acres in Lenox, Massachusetts in 1902. The Mount is one of only five percent of National Historic Landmarks dedicated to women. Edith Wharton lived and wrote there for a period of 10 years before she and her husband sold the estate. Today it is a sanctuary for all who wish to visit. The beautiful gardens, the terrace cafe, the informative lectures and magnificent sculpture garden make it the perfect spot to relax and spend time with a friend.
